Biography:

Dr. Yu Liu received the B.S. degree of Electrical Engineering and Automation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2011. He was a visiting scholar in Power System Control and Automation Lab, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA, in 2012. In 2013, he received the M.S. degree of Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China and the M.S. degree of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA. In 2017, he received the Ph.D. degree of Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA.

Yu Liu joined ShanghaiTech University as an Assistant Professor in 2017. He is currrently an Associate Professor (Tenured) and the Principle Investigator (PI) of PSPAL group, in Center for Intelligent Power and Energy Systems (CiPES), School of Information Science and Technology, ShanghaiTech University. He is also the director of CiPES. His research interests include AC/DC power system protection and fault location, power system state/parameter estimation, and condition monitoring of power electronic systems.

Biography:

Ms. Ruiyu Pan joined PSPAL in July 2020. She is currently a Ph.D. student in PSPAL (starting from September 2020). She received her B.S. degree of Electrical Engineering and Automation from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in Summer 2019. Her research interests include transmission line protection in MMC-HVDC grids.

Biography:

Mr. Xinguo Zhang joined PSPAL in July 2020. He is currently a Ph.D. student in PSPAL (starting from September 2020). He received the B.S. degree of Electrical Engineering and Automation from Fuzhou University, Fuzhou, Fujian, China, in Summer 2019. His research interests include fault diagnosis and condition monitoring of power electronic circuits.

Biography:

Mr. Yuhao Xie joined PSPAL in March 2022. He is currently a Ph.D student in PSPAL (starting from September 2022). He received B.S. degree of Electrical and Electronic Engineering from ShanghaiTech University, in Summer 2022. His research interests include protection and fault location of transmission lines, especially in the presence of inverter-based resources.

Dr. Binglin Wang joined PSPAL in March 2018. He received his Bachelor degree of Electrical Engineering and Intelligent Control from Xi'an University of Technology, Xi'an, China, in Summer 2018.
