The 2026 IEEE Power & Energy Society International Meeting: Global Power and Energy
Systems Resilience: Leveraging Collaborative Expertise (PESIM 2026) was held on 18-21
January 2026 in Hong Kong, jointly organized by IEEE PES and the Research Centre for
Grid Modernization at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Dr. Liu Yu was invited to give two presentations in the panel session,
with the topics being " Security Analysis in Seaport Energy-Logistic Systems" and
" Key Technologies for Relay Protection Adapted to High-Penetration Power
Electronic-Based Power Systems", respectively. The titles of the two reports are
" Modeling and Protective Relaying for Submarine Cables in MMC-HVDC Systems" and
" Distance Protection for Lines Terminated by Inverter Based Resources Compatible with
Various Inverter Control Schemes", respectively.
