The 2025 IEEE PES Power System Relaying and Control Committee (China)
was held in Nanjing from December 12 to 14, 2025. Focusing on the protection and control of new-type power systems,
the conference brought together experts and scholars to discuss cutting-edge technologies
and development pathways under the "Dual Carbon" goals.
Dr. Yu Liu was invited to present his research titled “Principles of Line Protection and Fault Location
for Flexible DC Grids Based on Accurate Line Modeling.” The report elaborated on his group’s work regarding precise
line modeling and systematically discussed novel principles and methods for line protection and fault location in
flexible DC grids. This research provides important theoretical insights and technical approaches for ensuring the
secure and stable operation of flexible DC grids, sparking active interest and discussion among the attendees.
