On December 5, 2025, Dr. Yi Wang, Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong,
visited ShanghaiTech University's School of Information Science and Technology.
Professor Wang's main research areas are big data analysis in power systems, load forecasting,
and integrated energy systems. He has published one monograph as the first author and over
80 journal papers as the first author or corresponding author, with more than 12,000 citations on Google Scholar.
He delivered a lecture titled "Research on Interactive Prediction and Decision-Making
Assisted by Large Models for Power Systems," exploring the integration of large languag
e models with expert knowledge to improve power system analytics. Students from the CiPES
attended actively and participated in a lively Q&A session.
Following the lecture, Professor Wang visited the PSPAL laboratory, accompanied by
Dr. Yu Liu and the research team. They provided an overview of the lab's core research
directions and experimental platforms in smart grids and new energy integration.
The visit facilitated in-depth academic exchange and strengthened
connections between the two institutions in the field of intelligent energy systems.
