On December 3, 2025, Professor Seung Jae Lee (Lee Seung-jae), founder of the Korea-China Joint Seminar,
professor at Myongji University, and IEEE Fellow, visited the Power System Protection and Automation Laboratory
(PSPAL) at ShanghaiTech University's School of Information Science and Technology.
During the visit, Dr. Yu Liu, head of the PSPAL lab, along with team members, introduced the laboratory's
smart low-carbon grid experimental platform and demonstrated the latest research progress in areas such
as renewable energy integration and flexible DC grid protection. In-depth technical discussions were held
between both parties.
The visit enhanced mutual understanding between the two institutions. Professor Lee spoke positively of the
PSPAL laboratory's research direction and infrastructure, laying the groundwork for potential future academic
collaboration.
